The brand new 2019 Acura RDX is set to go on sale in just a few days. Ahead of its arrival at dealerships, pricing and fuel economy details have just been released by Honda’s luxury brand.
A strong value in the segment, this compact luxury utility vehicle starts at $38,295, including $995 in delivery fees. If the sportier A-Spec version floats your boat, plan on spending around $44,495. Stepping up from there, the range-topping Advanced Package model goes for $46,395 out the door. If you need Acura’s performance-improving Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive system, add $2,000 to the prices listed above, an entirely reasonable sum for enhanced traction and torque-vectoring capability.

All versions of the RDX are motivated by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, a smooth and responsive four-cylinder unit that’s matched exclusively to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Output measures 272 horsepower with torque peaking at a healthy 280 pound-feet.
Despite its impressive performance figures, this luxury utility vehicle is economical to operate. In most efficient form, it’s rated at 22 miles per gallon in urban driving and 28 on the highway. Mixed motoring should result in 24 mpg.
Higher-end versions naturally burn a little more fuel. The least economical model wears A-Spec badges and is equipped with all-wheel drive. In the city, expect 21 miles per gallon, while highway driving should result in 26 MPG. Combined, they’re rated at 23.
